We keep this simple: Learn-Typing is a place to learn to type, not a place that profits from your data. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.

What we collect

When you create an account, we ask for your first name, last name, and email address. That's it for signing up. If you complete a lesson or a practice session while signed in, we save the result (things like your speed, accuracy, and which lesson it was) to your account, purely so you can look back and see your own progress over time.

Anonymous site analytics

We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that tells us, in aggregate, which pages get visited. It doesn't use cookies and it isn't tied to your name, email, or account in any way — we just use it to see which parts of the site people actually use, so we know where to focus improvements.

Why we collect it, and why that's the whole list

Everything above exists for one reason: to run Learn-Typing and make it better. Your name and email let you sign in and keep your progress. Your typing stats let you track your own improvement. The anonymous analytics let us see what's working. We don't collect data for advertising, we don't build profiles on you, and we don't have any other purpose in mind.

What we don't do

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any reason. We don't run ads. We don't share your data with third parties except where a service we rely on to operate the site (like our authentication provider) needs it to function — and never for their own marketing purposes.

You're in control

You don't need an account to try lessons or practice sessions — guests aren't tracked individually. If you do have an account and want your data updated or deleted, just email us and we'll take care of it.

Children's privacy

Learn-Typing is designed to be useful for learners of all ages, including students. We only collect the account information described above, and only when someone chooses to sign up.

Changes to this policy

If this ever changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above — no surprise changes, no fine print you weren't told about.
